Budget — Privacy Policy

Your data stays on your phone.

Budget is a personal budgeting app built to be private by design. It has no account, no cloud, and no tracking. Everything you enter lives only on your device.

We do not collect anything

Budget does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts and no servers that hold your data. The information you enter never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself.

Information the app collects

None. Budget works without an account and does not ask for your name of record, email, phone number, or any identifier. The budgeting details you type in (transactions, categories, accounts, savings goals, debts, bills, reminders, and notes) are stored only in a local database on your device. This data is never sent to the developer or any third party.

Where your data lives

All app data is saved locally on your iPhone using the operating system on-device storage. The app has no backend, makes no network calls to move your financial data, and continues to work with no internet connection at all.

No analytics, ads, or tracking

Budget contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party tracking technologies. Nothing about how you use the app is recorded or reported. Because nothing is collected, nothing is tracked across apps or websites.

Reminders stay local

If you turn on a reminder for a bill or calendar item, the app schedules a local notification on your device using iOS. This does not use a push server, and no reminder content is sent anywhere. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your iPhone Settings.

Exports are yours to control

Budget lets you export a backup of your data as a file. That file is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet, where you decide what to do with it: save it, or send it to a destination you choose. The developer never receives your backup.

Your relationship with Apple

When you download or update the app, Apple may process standard information (such as your Apple Account and download activity) under Apple privacy policy. That happens between you and Apple; the app itself receives none of it.

Children privacy

Budget is rated 4+ and does not collect data from anyone, including children. No personal information is gathered from users of any age.

You are always in control

Because your data lives only on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting entries within the app or by deleting the app, which erases its on-device database. There is nothing stored elsewhere for us to delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Because the app collects no data, any changes are expected to be minor clarifications.
